Where the road stops and the dunes start, quad bikes become the way to explore and in particular to get out to the lighthouse and the amazing dune-scape around Cape Sim. You can take a single quad or a double quad with a guide. It is important you use a reputable firm and the managers at Kasbah d’Eau will arrange this for you. A great day out for adrenaline junkies or those who want a leisurely tour off the beaten track.
Sidi Kaouki has long been known as a watersports paradise with surfing dominating the winter months and kitesurfing and windsurfing in the windier summer months although all 3 sports can practised all year round.

Kasbah d'Eau is in the village of Sidi Kaouki, 10 miles (16km) south of Essaouira, one of the prettiest towns in Morocco, with its ramparts and medina full of traditional shops, great bars and wonderful restaurants. The beach is the main attraction with surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing for the adrenalin junkies, horseback and camel rides to explore the area, and quadbike tours to get into the dunes and down the coast. It is also a place beloved by runners and walkers - the immediate beach is 1.5 miles (2.5km) in length and then miles more beyond that - even at the busiest times finding calm and solitude is never an issue. Essaouira is a 25-minute taxi ride away (around £10/€12 each way) and it is easy to pop in for an afternoon shopping in the medina, or an evening in one of the wonderful restaurants. Essaouira's international airport is 15 minutes away, and Marrakech is 3 hours by taxi (or bus from Essaouira) for connections all over the world.
