Star-Gazing

One of the beauties of rural Morocco is the lack of light pollution which makes for amazing star-gazing.  Kasbah d’Eau has a roof terrace which are perfect for spotting planets and stars and we also have a pair of tripod-mounted stellar binoculars for guest use (no charge).  We hand out star maps but the best way to explore the skies is to download the “Starwalk” app to your tablet and use that as an interactive guide.  Or just lie back and count the shooting stars…

Walking

Many people visit Kasbah d’Eau for the walking.  The favourite is a 2 hour trek down along the coast to where a lava formation has created a series of waterfall almost on to the beach.  Turn in the opposite direction and you head  towards the massive dunes and light house of Cap Sim, passing through a traditional fishing village.  Finally it is also recommended to turn your back on the sea and go inland through the villages that dot the hillside.  Whichever direction you choose there are no roads and you are very unlikely to see other tourists.  All the walking can be done unaccompanied but guides and picnic lunches can also be provided.

Horse Riding

The beaches around Kasbah d’Eau are designed for an endless gallop and there are ponies and horses available for hire on the door step.  For more serious riders we recommend a stable just up the coast where you can have an escorted hour or two on the beach or the favourite is a 2 day loop around the coast staying the night at Kasbah d’Eau (evening massage suggested…) and then heading back by the forests inland all without touching a road.

Internet & TV

We have good free internet connection through the internal areas of the hotel.  Each room has a TV with smart connectivity so you can log to your accounts like: Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.  Rooms also have bluetooth music speakers.

Tennis & Pool Table

You are welcome to use our pool table just off the main atrium.  Access to a tennis court is available at our sister hotel, Rebali Riads, which boasts the only tennis court in the area. Although it may not be of championship quality, it is perfect for casual play. While rackets and balls are available, we recommend bringing your own if possible. Additionally, there is a table tennis table at Rebali and, for beach activities, we provide rounders and cricket sets.

Swimming Pool

Kasbah d’Eau boasts the area’s most stunning infinity pool with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Whether you’re looking to stay fit with numerous laps or just want to relax and observe the bustling village life, it’s the perfect spot.

Additionally, the pool is heated from November through March.

Garden

In front of the Kasbah d’Eau, you will find a charming garden, accessible from the swimming pool. This is where we cultivate a small herb garden to provide organic produce, and if you look carefully, you might spot some resident tortoises.

Yoga

We have 2 or 3 formal yoga breaks each year normally around 3 to 5 days where yoga teachers come in from around the world and manage a program.  If that sounds too much we also have locally based teachers who will take a private or group class at very reasonable prices.  Please contact us for more details.

Quad Biking

Where the road stops and the dunes start, quad bikes become the way to explore and in particular to get out to the lighthouse and the amazing dune-scape around Cape Sim. You can take a single quad or a double quad with a guide. It is important you use a reputable firm and the managers at Kasbah d’Eau will arrange this for you. A great day out for adrenaline junkies or those who want a leisurely tour off the beaten track.

Camel Trekking

Kasbah d’Eau must be one of the few hotels in the world to offer a door to door camel service and what a great way to explore the beach. You can go for a few minutes circuit on the beach or book one of our ‘camel picnics’ and go for miles to find a waterfall and lava based rock formations.   Or head in the opposite direction to lose yourself in the massive dunes of Cap Sim
